Excellent food, excellent server., Dinner felt like eating in a restaurant in Italy. Take your time, visit with friends !

My friends and I went to La Torino on Saturday night for our first time. I had heard earlier in the day and it turns out it was a very good thing to have done. Otherwise we would’ve been waiting quite a while as it was a very busy night. The waiter knew what he was doing. The menu was very Italian (good thing for an Italian restaurant in my opinion) with everything sounding so delicious. Started our meals with focaccia Caesar salad and calamari, and it was all so good. Two of us had the seafood fettuccine and two of us had the pumpkin ravioli, and we all agreed the meals were wonderful and then dinner ended at dessert which we did not have room, but we ordered the lemon cheesecake and the cannoli and it was just delicious also. All in all, it was a most enjoyable evening – there were a couple hiccups with timing, but it was a very busy evening and it was easily forgiven. The chef/owner came out and apologized for the small wait and to check and make sure that we enjoyed our meals which we did and we appreciated it. We will be back.

First time at the restaurant. I had the chef’s special pasta – linguine with clams – it was delicious. My friend had the pizza with fennel and apple – she loved it. Tiramisu was delightful. Wine list was good, nice to see the focus on Italian wines only. It was nice to see a one page menu – more focused. My only criticism is the banquet seat was uncomfortable – needed more cushioning. The chairs however were very comfortable. Also the staff were very friendly. I’ll be back.

As someone who is extremely fussy when it comes to meatballs, I don’t say this lightly: the meatballs here were absolute perfection. They were tender, flavorful, and tasted like they came straight from an Italian kitchen. It is rare to find such high-quality, authentic cuisine that lives up to the hype. The food was matched only by the incredible service. Nichola was wonderful—professional, warm, and attentive without being intrusive. Nichola truly went above and beyond to make sure our experience was seamless. If you want authentic flavors and a staff that genuinely cares about your experience, this is the place to go. I’ll be dreaming about those meatballs until my next visit!

The owner and staff went out of their way to make our Staff Christmas dinner and evening amazing, including Zack our waiter, Daisy and front end staff and the chef/owner come to our table several times to make sure everything was great. We were too busy enjoying our dinner to take more pictures.

Good food, good service, with engaging chef and staff… and located in our neighbourhood. What more can I ask. We look forward to having our next meal at this restaurant.
